Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team. The successful candidate will work in a collaborative environment performing equipment repair, installations, and preventative maintenance according to service, quality, and safety standards. This role involves general upkeep of manufacturing equipment and facility while maintaining a clean workspace. Additionally, the Maintenance Technician may assist with various facility projects, including providing input on layouts and/or working with contractors to complete complex projects/repairs.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• We are looking for someone who can diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and other physical structures, including furnace vacuum systems, with or without schematic or manual guidance.
• The ideal candidate should be able to troubleshoot challenging manufacturing equipment or facility issues and recommend temporary and/or permanent solutions to appropriate personnel.
• Prior experience in performing facility and environmental health and safety (EHS) related maintenance tasks such as building and replacing work-stations, shelving, lightbulbs, painting, simple plumbing, identification of and/or marking, taping of safety items/areas, etc., is required.
• Familiarity with all safety protocols, including wearing required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) at all times for tasks and in areas where mandatory, is essential.
• This role involves scheduled internal and external preventative maintenance tasks, such as mechanical maintenance items, changing fluids (e.g. surfactants, coolants, lubricants), filters, etc.
• The selected candidate should be able to record production, repair, and maintenance tasks in an appropriate computer system.
• Maintaining tools and equipment is also a key responsibility.
• The Maintenance Technician may train and mentor incoming department personnel and maintenance associates on processes and procedures.
• The ability to recognize and perform unassigned tasks, such as general cleanliness and other 5S tasks, procuring supplies, disposing of empty containers, etc., is desired.
• This role may also involve providing backup support for high-end production operations, such as operation of production furnaces, leak test support, cable assembly, etc.

Requirements:

• An Associate's degree in industrial technologies or other technical degree is required. Advanced degree, training, or certification(s) are preferred.
• A minimum of two years of experience working in a manufacturing environment is required.
• Intermediate knowledge of vacuum systems, machine repair, electrical, pipefitting, plumbing, and general maintenance is necessary.
• The ideal candidate should be able to receive and provide verbal and written instruction.
• Team skills, including ability to work independently, in teams, and collaborate with others, are required.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills are essential.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Access or related software, is required.
• A basic understanding of AutoCAD and SolidWorks or related software is desired.
• Demonstrated math, computer, and time-management skills are necessary.
• The ability to self-direct work, completing projects within defined time frames, is required.
• Ability to use hand tools and power tools is essential.
• The ability to read blueprints, schematics, building plans, and repair manuals is required.
• Familiarity with applicable Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) standards is essential.
• The ability to adapt to changing demands is necessary.
