Job Description
As a Maintenance Technician at Solid Sealing Technology, you will work in a team environment performing equipment repair, installations, and preventative maintenance according to service, quality, and safety standards. Your responsibilities will include general upkeep of manufacturing equipment and facility while maintaining a clean workspace.
Responsibilities
- Equipment Repair and Maintenance
- Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and other physical structures, including furnace vacuum systems, with or without schematic or manual.
- Troubleshoot challenging manufacturing equipment or facility issues, recommending temporary and/or permanent solutions to appropriate personnel.
- Facility Maintenance
- Perform facility and environmental health and safety (EHS) related maintenance tasks such as building and replacing work-stations, shelving, lightbulbs, painting, simple plumbing, identification of and/or marking, taping of safety items/areas, etc.
- Maintenance Support
- Follows and supports all safety protocols, including wearing required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) at all times for tasks and in areas where mandatory.
- Records production, repair, and maintenance tasks in appropriate computer system.
Requirements
- An Associate's degree in industrial technologies or other technical degree is required.
- A minimum of two years of experience working in a manufacturing environment is required.
- Intermediate knowledge of vacuum systems, machine repair, electrical, pipefitting, plumbing, and general maintenance is necessary.
