What are the responsibilities and job description for the Corian Sander position at Solid Surface Craftsman?
Since its inception in 1987, Solid Surface Craftsman, Inc. (SSC) has been driven to provide the best quality products to the commercial and residential mill-work market.
Our 50,000 sq. ft. facility, located in Glenville, New York houses our cabinetry and counter-top divisions. All our cabinets are hand crafted using quality hardwoods and materials. Our finishing facility is one of the leaders in the northeast specializing in custom colorization.
We are currently looking for a skilled and experienced Counter-top Sander.
Duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to the following areas:
- Smooths surface of solid surface materials to prep for finishing using sandpaper and sander
- Feels surface of sanded counter-tops for smoothness
- Work diligently and timely with attention to detail
- Maintain safe and effective use of tools such as a sander
Requirements and Qualifications:
- Ability to use hand tools such as a sander
- Must be able to lift 50 pounds
- Excellent work ethic and dependability
- Strong attention to detail
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous experience preferred but will train the right individual
Pay:
- Hourly Rate based upon qualifications and experience.

Pay: From $16.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
