The Director of Disposal Services is a key position within the Solid Waste Disposal Authority of Baldwin Co AL. This individual will be responsible for overseeing the management of Department Engineering and Environmental Programs, ensuring compliance with Federal, State, and Local regulations. The ideal candidate will have a background in environmental science or engineering and significant experience in supervising teams and managing budgets.
Responsibilities:
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, environmental science, or a closely related field.
- Five (5) years of experience in supervision and management of others, including budget responsibilities.
- Three (3) years of experience in environmental or related field.
- Three (3) years of experience with Landfill Methane Gas Systems.
- Excellent project management skills, with a proven ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage diverse stakeholders.
- Proficient in data analysis and reporting, with experience in using software tools for performance tracking.
- Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate a team effectively.

- Coordinate with engineers and contractors to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
- Provide technical assistance and guidance to department administration and other division managers.
