What are the responsibilities and job description for the PET Molding Captain | A Shift position at Solidify Manufacturing LLC?
Job Summary:
Responsible for daily, weekly, and monthly PET Molding production activities in a Food Certified GMP/GDP environment required to maximize output and quality. This is a growth opportunity for a detail oriented individual with a strong sense of urgency and a desire to grow within the organization.
Essential Functions:
- Ensure clean, organized, and safe working environment and that all Good Manufacturing (GMP) and Good Documentation Practices (GDP) are met.
- Ensure hourly, daily, weekly, & monthly checklists are both completed and documented.
- Operate single or multiple production processes at a time including but not limited to inspecting, performing quality checks, labeling, moving pallets, and packaging products.
- Train and/or process audit operators in the PET Molding Department work is complete and to standard.
- Be aware of and attentive to alarms resetting machines and automation within the expected timeframe
- Complete job and machine setups, changeovers and startups as required
- Move product, both raw and finished goods, with hand jacks and forklifts
- Receive, Issue and transact materials appropriately throughout the job
- Excellent adherence to standard work and defined procedures as well as standard timed routes.
- Proper shift handoff including:
- Captain to Captain handoff.
- Documentation and communication of issues to support groups as needed.
- Completed checklist to supervisor.
- Strong communication and collaboration with engineering, operations and QA.
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications, Education, Skills, and/or Experience Required:
- 2 years in manufacturing environment required
- Strong attention to detail
- Experience in GMP/GDP environment preferred
- High sense of urgency
- Ability to work independently/self-starter
- Level headed communication and real time decision making skills
Physical Requirements:
- Able to lift up to 40 pounds
- Standing, walking, bending, kneeling, lifting, pushing-pulling, and reaching throughout the entire shift.
