Due to our incredible growth plans, SolidProfessor is adding an Sr. Full Stack Engineer to our team who will work as a key contributor within a Pod-based team, responsible for driving technical excellence and delivering high-quality software solutions. This role combines technical leadership, mentorship, and hands-on development, including defining and implementing processes that enhance efficiency. The ideal candidate is a proactive problem-solver and a natural mentor, committed to continuous improvement and delivering exceptional outcomes. The Senior Full Stack Engineer will also lead the team through large-scale project implementation, act as a thought leader, and contribute to improving team practices. They will foster a collaborative environment and ensure technical solutions align with business goals. Additionally, the Senior Full Stack Engineer will help their team build solutions that align with industry best practices and drive the company’s mission forward.

WHAT WILL YOU BE DOING IN THIS SR. FULL STACK ENGINEER ROLE?

• In partnership with the engineering leadership group, define and implement processes across all layers of t4he technology stack, ensuring scalability, performance, and maintainability.
• Work with Tech Leads and other Engineers to map out implementation strategies for large-scale projects from concept to delivery.
• Provide technical guidance, mentorship, and career development support to junior engineers.
• Deliver high quality, well-tested, scalable and maintainable code that adheres to industry best practices.
• Facilitate and actively participate in code reviews, technical design discussions and knowledge-sharing sessions.
• Collaborate closely with stakeholders and the discovery team to ensure alignment between technical decisions and business goals.
  
  

WHAT DO YOU NEED FOR SUCCESS IN THIS SR. FULL STACK ENGINEER ROLE?

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. Equivalent practical experience may also be considered.
• Availability to work Monday-Friday from 8:00am-5:00pm Pacific Time Zone hours
• 7 years of building enterprise software in a team environment
• 7 years of experience with HTML5/CSS3/JavaScript (ES5/ES6)
• 7 years of OOP (language dependent)
• 7 years of SQL, there’s no query you can’t write or optimize
• 5 years of designing and writing custom API’s
• 4 years of OO PHP
• 4 years of Laravel Framework experience
• 3 years of experience with VueJS and its sister technologies (Vue CLI, VUERouter, Vuex, Nuxt.js)
• 3 years of experience with test frameworks, tools, and languages, including Behavior-Driven Development (BDD), Cypress.io, and Gherkin. Skilled in writing unit and end-to-end (E2E) tests and proficient in JavaScript.
• 3 years of experience working with task runners like Webpack, grunt
• 3 years of experience using the command line during daily development
• 2 years of experience in Wordpress development
• Experience working in a design system or shared component ecosystem a plus
• 2 years of experience writing highly interactive frontend visualizations/interactions
• 2 years writing applications structured to facilitate drawing inferences about your uses through intelligent data structures
• 1 year of small team leadership / technical leadership experience
• Advanced UNIX terminal proficiency
• Experience with Event Driven System Architecture
• Proven expertise in agile methodologies (such as Lean UX, Scrum, or Kanban)
• Previous experience working as a Scrum Master strongly preferred
• Solid understanding of technical architecture, system design, and development best practices.
• Experience working cross-functionally with product managers, UX designers, and other teams to ensure project alignment and team success
• Strong team leadership experience as an individual contributor with experience mentoring those more junior in experience.
• Proficiency in modern programming languages and frameworks.
• Solid experience working with CI/CD pipelines and Test-Driven Development (TDD).
• Excellent verbal and written professional communication skills; ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical colleagues.
• Able to provide accurate estimates and timelines for your tasks.
• Strong understanding of both frontend and backend caching technologies; ability to write cache-friendly code
• Strong understanding of both frontend and backend architecture, including database design, APIs, and Cloud Infrastructure.
• Able to learn and participate in the adoption of new technologies and make improvements to existing ones.
• Outstanding problem-solving skills, strategic, innovative approach to finding and implementing solutions.
• Ability to understand all SolidProfessor products and articulate where and how they resonate in different industries and verticals.
• Autonomous, self-driven, proactive, and detail-oriented professional with exceptional communication, time management, and interpersonal skills including empathy, teamwork, problem-solving, and conflict resolution.
• Flexible, adaptable, and assertive with strong persuasive abilities, complemented by a quick learning capacity, multitasking skills, analytical thinking, and the ability to effectively prioritize responsibilities.
• Personable with an excellent work ethic, a “whatever it takes” positive, solution-oriented attitude, and the confidence and drive to deliver results in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment.
• Familiar with Agile methodologies and tools like Jira for task and project management.

SolidProfessor has determined that the annual new hire range for this role is between $113,000 and $143,900. Your base pay will be based on a number of factors, including knowledge, skills, qualifications, experience, and location. Since we appreciate transparency, we are sharing that we expect to hire for this position up to mid-range (dependent on experience/location), which will allow you the opportunity to progress as you grow in your career.
