Sr. Systems Engineer

Solidus is searching for a Sr. Systems Engineer.

You will join a team where your knowledge with regards to clarification of requirements, system engineering analyses, algorithm development, requirements definition and derivation, interface definition, and requirement validation and verification will be put to good use

This position is located in Aurora, Co. Candidates must be able to work on-site.

Day In The Life

• Provide technical analyses and define how the system works creating use cases
• Decompose requirements, define system interfaces and help determine how requirements will be validated and verified by the test team
• Provide engineering support and technical direction for the execution of a portion of the programs test program including test processes and baseline definition, test architecture design, verification, and validation
• Support regression testing across deliverable releases to the program baseline.
• Support and attend technical reviews and technical interchanges in support of the program
  
  

What You Will Bring

• US Citizenship and an active TS/SCI
• BS in STEM and a minimum of 5 years of prior relevant experience
• Systems Engineering lifecycle experience with roles and functions, along with specific experience in one or more of the following areas: operations concept development, requirements management, functional analysis/synthesis, interface definition and control, and/or verification and validation
• Development experience on a government contract
• Experience with Agile and DevSecOps development methods
• Experience with the Microsoft Office suite of tools (e.g. Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
  
  

Preferred Experience In

• Satellite Command/Control, Mission Management or Planning
• Agile tool sets (JIRA, Confluence, BitBucket, etc.)
• Working with requirements in DOORS or other requirements databases
• Working in DevOps and/or DevSecOps in an Agile development environment
• Scripting knowledge (eg: Python)
• Good oral and written communication skills as well as good collaboration skills and the ability to work in a team environment
  
  

The salary for this position is estimated to be between $120,000 and $167,000 . Customer contractual specifications, relevant work experience, skills, competencies and certifications, clearance status, and benefit selections will influence the final salary.
