SUMMARY OF POSITION
The Packaging Engineer will lead packaging projects and document all results, as well as the research of packaging to drive cost optimization, processing efficiencies, packaging innovation and research sustainable packaging options. Identify and approve potential packaging suppliers.
Responsibilities :

- Plans and coordinates activities to improve costs and to harmonize the Solina's packaging portfollio's.
- Establishes and maintains liasion between key departments, taking the leadership in tracking cost reduction implications,innovation and sustainability.
- Communicate, formulate and apply mitigation plans to secure the company's targerts within the agreed design criteria and production requirements for proposed packaging sepcifications.
- Initiates and provides technical direction for research and development programs to enhance production methods, improve product, packaging and equipment technology, with a main focus to drive efficency and reduce costs.
- Develops methods and programs to predict, track and reports the overall optimizations, pre and poste delopment and implementations.
- Manages projects, ensuring timely communication and meeting deadlines.
- Provides technical and operational support as needed.
- Interacts with customer and suppliers.
- Plans and coordinates activities to drive the packaging innovation process.
- Deliver the packaging sustainability plans, prioritizing recyclability, material reductions and resubility solutions.
- Establish a co2 baseline and set clear emission reduction targets for Solina's packaging portfolio's, prioritizing Rigid and flexible.
- Initiate and provides tehcnical direction for research adn development programs to enhance production methods, improve product,packaging and equipment technology, with a main focus to drive packaging innovation and sustainanility.
