Job Description
Solis Applied Science is seeking a Senior-level Exploitation Specialist Data Steward professional with experience providing Data Steward support, demonstrating knowledge and experience in the data steward role, data standards, and principles of data integrity. Position is in the Northern Virginia area.
Responsibilities :
Data Stewards must have a deep understanding of Structured Observation Management (SOM) and Activity-Based Intelligence (ABI) knowledge capture principles; technical expertise in integrating data definition and ontology concepts for GEOINT analytics; strong leadership abilities, focusing on collaboration and team building across organizational boundaries; and knowledge of foundational GEOINT data and associated standards. Excellent communication skills, including verbal, written, and visual methods; proficient in using ArcGIS and its extensions.
Required Skills
- Top Secret with SCI adjudication (Must be able to obtain TS / SCI clearance with CI / Poly)
- Provide guidance and support on data standards across Analysis and the NSG.
- Offer subject matter expertise to the Analysis Directorate for structured data, EDM support, and ontology.
- Optimize existing databases to enhance the efficiency of query, input, export, and data visualization processes.
- Utilize standard business applications, especially spreadsheets, for presentations, word processing, and interrelating geospatial data standards and metrics effectively.
- Conduct research, contribute to the creation of analytical and technical reports, publications, graphics, and maintain both hard and soft copy files.
- Create and manage databases, summary data, spreadsheets, graphic documents, and maintain Intelink and SharePoint websites.
- Adapt existing software applications, tools, and data to meet evolving requirements.
- Develop complex Excel formulas to efficiently extract data from large spreadsheets.
- Build and document custom solutions (tools, processes, etc.) that comply with enterprise architecture standards to automate or support analytic tasks.
- Apply the necessary knowledge and skills to edit, merge, or conflate geospatial data using GIS systems and extensions (e.g., ESRI).
