Job Description
Solis Applied Science is seeking a highly qualified and motivated Senior Spectral Scientist to support non-literal GEOINT production and advancement of analytical processes/techniques for passive spectral sensors. The individual will support advanced remote sensing exploitation functions through detailed technical data analysis and through the development and improvement of processing, exploitation, and dissemination (PED) of remotely sensed data, including the evaluation of data from new sensors. All team members are expected to be able to work independently and collaboratively with other scientists, engineers, and analysts on complex exploitation issues.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct imagery science in support of intelligence requirements
- Process and exploit data, with an emphasis on full spectrum Multi & Hyperspectral data, to support information needs
- Experience in developing new, and modernizing existing algorithms, tools, and methodologies for exploitation of Multi & Hyperspectral imagery
- Conduct research, development, testing, and evaluation to identify new remote sensing applications with emphasis in Multi & Hyperspectral imagery
- Characterize data from existing and emerging ground, air, and space based spectral and remote sensing sensors
- Understanding of sensor phenomenology
This is an onsite position at Wright-Patterson AFB, OHIO NASIC
Required Skills
- Master’s degree (In any of these related fields) Engineering, Imagery Science, Remote Sensing
- 10 Years of experience utilizing ENVI and RemoteView or SOCETGXP
- 10 Years of experience creating graphics and report writing
