Job Details
The Mammography Technologist operates x-ray equipment and performs a variety of mammography-related diagnostic procedures.
Individual must maintain a high degree of accuracy in positioning and exposure technique.
This position is critical to Washington Radiology; by providing outstanding care and efficient results, the technologist impacts the profitability of the organization as well as the patient experience.
Mammography Skills / Procedures / Experience : Digital - Required, 3D - Required, Two years of experience in Mammography preferred, Will accept less than 2 years experience and 1st time travelers.
Job Requirements
Completion of a formal radiologic technology training program and hold current certification by ARRT in Radiography.
ARRT advanced level certification in mammography with documentation of clinical experience, or MQSA qualified and (M) registry eligible.
Current on all required continuing education and continuing experience as required by MQSA and ARRT.
Must possess non-restricted licensure in state work location; New applicants : ETA 6-8 weeks for license.
Graduation from high school or equivalent and completion of a training program in imaging technology from an accredited school.
Will accept 1 year experience and 1st time travelers.
Mammography Techs must have evidence of 15 mammography specific CEUs within the last 3 years (a CE report or certificates of completion)
Mammography Techs must have evidence of 200 mammograms performed within the last 24 months (a letter or signed exam count report from the facility is acceptable).
Mammography Techs must have evidence of initial training (depending on when they took the certification exam, this will vary).
Mammography Techs must have evidence of 8 hours of digital training (depending on when they took the certification exam, this will vary)
Mammography Techs must have evidence of 8 hours of 3D / tomo training (depending on when they took the certification exam, this will vary)
