Job Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled Energy Efficiency Specialist to support energy audits, compliance reporting, and data analysis. This role is ideal for someone experienced in energy efficiency and engineering analysis with a strong understanding of NYC Local Law 87, 88, and 97 .
Key Responsibilities
- Energy Audits & Compliance Support:
- Conduct energy efficiency analysis for Local Law 88 & 97 compliance.
- Review and document lighting, HVAC, and energy system performance from audits.
- Prepare technical reports and calculate projected energy savings and ROI.
- Data Management & Reporting:
- Utilize Snapcount to collect, process, and analyze energy audit data.
- Develop and maintain compliance reports using Excel (Advanced), CRM systems, and modeling tools.
- Assist with carbon emissions calculations and energy benchmarking for compliance submissions.
- Technical Support & Solution Development:
- Assist in developing energy efficiency solutions and design layouts based on audit data.
- Work closely with project engineers to evaluate cost-effective energy-saving measures.
- Ensure projects align with building energy codes and NYC sustainability goals.
- Incentive & Rebate Management:
- Research and apply for utility rebate programs and incentive opportunities.
- Track submissions and ensure compliance with all program requirements.
- Collaboration & Industry Research:
- Stay updated on evolving energy efficiency regulations, utility incentives, and technology trends.
- Provide insights and recommendations on best practices for energy management.
Requirements
- Experience: 3 years in energy efficiency, engineering, or compliance reporting.
- Either a CEA, CEM, MFBA, RA, or PE Certification
- Technical Expertise:
- Snapcount (Required) – experience processing energy audits and reports.
- Excel (Advanced) – strong proficiency in data modeling, formulas, pivot tables, and macros.
- Experience with energy benchmarking tools, carbon emissions calculations, and compliance reporting.
- Knowledge of NYC Local Laws 88 & 97, ASHRAE energy audits, and energy management principles.
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple projects.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating with cross-functional teams.
- Willingness to travel as needed.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with energy modeling software, HVAC optimization, and demand response programs.
- Familiarity with utility incentive programs, rebate submissions, and compliance processes.
- Understanding of building energy codes, carbon tracking, and sustainability reporting.
