Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM (37.5 hours/week)
About the Role: Insurance Verification Specialist to support the Corporate Patient Financial Services – Pre-Registration & Insurance Verification Department. Ensuring timely and accurate insurance authorization and verification for upcoming patient appointments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Complete full financial clearance of scheduled visits including:
- Insurance verification, Pre-registration, Pre-service authorization
- Submit authorization requests and relevant clinical documentation to insurance payers.
- Follow up with payers to obtain authorization determinations.
- Escalate pending authorizations as needed to ensure timely approval.
- Communicate effectively with patients, providers, and insurance representatives.
Qualifications:
- Education: High School Diploma or GED required
- Experience: Minimum 2 years of hospital-based authorization/verification experience required
- Skills:
- Solid understanding of patient registration processes
- Knowledge of insurance verification and precertification
- Experience using insurance portals and electronic systems
