Position: Mother Baby Visiting Nurse (RN)
Locations: Brooklyn, Bronx or Queens
Schedule: Monday - Friday 9am - 5pm
Visits Required: Minimum of 5-7 Visits per day
Hourly Rate: $75
Summary: The RN will provide in-home health care services to recently hospital-discharged new mothers or youth. RN assigned to the borough of their choice. (NOT UAS)
Responsibilities:
- Assess patient's condition and chart your observations
- Perform evaluation tasks, such as vital signs and administering medication as prescribed by Physician
- Dress or redress open wounds and assess progress of healing
- Educate patients and their families on proper home health care strategies and procedures
- Provide palliative care as needed to keep the patient comfortable
- Make recommendations for devices or tools that might improve the patient’s quality of life
Requirements
- Associated Degree in Nursing
- NYS License Registered Nurse
- AHA BLS & PALS
- NRP Certification Required
- 2 years of recent experience in- home or palliative care experience required
- Ability to complete a minimum of 5 visits per day
