Job description
Position: Wound Care Visist Nurse (RN)
Visit Locations: Brooklyn, Bronx or Queens
Schedule: Monday - Friday 9am - 5pm
Office: 70% in Office, Located in Lower Manhattan
Hourly Rate: $92
Summary: The RN will provide in-home health wound care services to geriatric and recently hospital-discharged patients. RN assigned to the borough of their choice. (NOT UAS) Must be Wound Care Certified (WCC)
Responsibilities:
- Assess patient's condition and chart your observations
- Perform evaluation tasks, such as vital signs and administering medication as prescribed by Physician
- Dress or redress open wounds and assess progress of healing
- Educate patients and their families on proper home health care strategies and procedures
- Provide palliative care as needed to keep the patient comfortable
- Make recommendations for devices or tools that might improve the patient’s quality of life
Requirements
- Associated Degree in Nursing
- NYS License Registered Nurse
- AHA BLS
- 2 years of recent experience in- home or palliative care experience required
- Wound Care Certified Required
Job Types: Full-time, Contract, Temporary
Pay: Up to $92.00 per hour
