Ultrasound Technologist Contract Job in Long Island City, New York
Soloh Partners is seeking a skilled Ultrasound Technologist for a 12-week local contract position.
Job Requirements and Responsibilities

- Work Schedule: 37 hours per week, 8 hours shift

The Ultrasound Technologist will perform or assist in ultrasound examinations, provide technical support to radiologists, and maintain ultrasound equipment. Key responsibilities include:
- Preparing patients for ultrasound examinations according to established procedures
- Operating and adjusting ultrasound equipment while ensuring patient safety
- Setting up, operating, cleaning, and making minor adjustments to ultrasound equipment
- Ensuring adequate supplies are available
- Assisting in the orientation and mentorship of new Ultrasound personnel
- Capturing images on PACS and transferring them to physicians' workstations
- Answering telephones, scheduling examinations, and initiating transportation as needed
- Performing other duties as required
Desirable Skills and Qualifications
- Registration by the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers
- 2 years of experience as an Ultrasound Technologist
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Knowledge of office and administrative practices
- Skills in using personal computers and software
- Ability to problem-solve and make decisions
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Exceptional attention to detail, accuracy, and discretion
