The Ultrasound Technologist performs or assists in ultrasound examinations and maintains equipment. Key responsibilities include:
- Preparing patients for ultrasound examinations.
- Operating and adjusting ultrasound equipment while ensuring safety precautions.
- Setting up, operating, cleaning, and making minor adjustments to ultrasound equipment.
- Ensuring adequate supplies are available.
- Assisting in the orientation of new Ultrasound personnel.
- Capturing images onto PACS and transferring them to physicians' workstations.
- Answering telephones and scheduling examinations.
Requirements:
- Registered by the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers.
- 2 years of experience as an Ultrasound Technologist.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- Knowledge of office and administrative practices.
- Ability to problem solve and make decisions.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Exceptional attention to detail, accuracy, and discretion.
