Duties:
- Provide administrative support to attorneys
- Assist with document preparation, including drafting and editing legal documents
- Maintain and organize physical and electronic files
- Work directly with process servers to effectuate service on defendants
- Assist with case management, including tracking deadlines and scheduling appointments
- Prepare correspondence and communicate with clients, opposing counsel, and court personnel
- Handle phone calls and inquiries in a professional manner, maintaining confidentiality
- Perform data entry and maintain accurate records in document management systems
- Proofread legal documents for accuracy and completeness
Experience:
- Previous experience as a paralegal assistant or in a similar administrative role is preferred
- Familiarity with collection litigation
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple deadlines
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in document preparation and proofreading
- Proficient in using document management systems and other legal software applications
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including proper phone etiquette
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
- Proficient in data entry and comfortable working with spreadsheets
