What are the responsibilities and job description for the Maintenance Service Coordinator - Apartments position at Solomon Organization?
The Solomon Organization currently has an opening for a Maintenance Service Coordinator at Foxridge and Hethwood Apartments in Blacksburg, VA. The ideal candidate has a superior ability to multi-task and stay organized. An aptitude with minor maintenance repairs or willingness to learn preferred. Previous experience preferred.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Accurately recording, organizing, and assisting with distribution and collection of work orders generated from resident requests for service, as well as routine upkeep on the property.
- Serves as a liaison for the service department. Acts and behaves in a confident, professional manner, sets the tone, represents the department in a positive manner.
- Compiles information and prepare necessary reports for the department.
- Communicates changes or information to service workers, ensuring proper process is followed.
- Supports management by providing clerical support such as answering phone calls, filing, and other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- computer skills and knowledge of relevant software to include MS Word and Excel
- knowledge of operation of standard office equipment
- knowledge of clerical and administrative procedures and systems such as filing and record keeping
- knowledge of principles of basic office management
- previous database management software experience (Yardi preferred)
