We have partnered with a client to hire a Financial Analyst, Financial Reporting . This position is a key member of the Financial Reporting team and will be responsible for supporting various external and internal financial reporting, as well as month-end close activities. This individual will play a critical role in the company’s consolidated financial reporting processes and will be responsible for assisting with the preparation of financial statements, footnotes and other disclosures for the Company’s quarterly and annual SEC filings, recording journal entries and performing account analyses, and providing accounting support to internal stakeholders. In office 5 days per week. They do get 26 remote days, but would need to provide the manager notice before they are going to work remote.
- Salary: $80-$90k
Responsibilities:
- Assist in the preparation of financial statements, footnotes, other disclosures, and XBRL tagging requirements for SEC Forms 10-K and 10-Q, and other SEC filings as needed
- Prepares monthly and quarterly financial reports for management and key stakeholders
- Coordinates with internal and external auditors for quarterly reviews and year-end audit process and ensures compliance with SOX controls
- Prepares monthly journal entries and monthly and/or quarterly account reconciliations
- Assist with lease accounting through the review and setup of lease agreements in the LeaseQuery system
- Identifies and participates in department-wide process improvement/process automation projects
- Become proficient with software used by the company, including Workiva, Oracle Cloud Fusion Financials, EPM Cloud Financial Consolidation & Close software and LeaseQuery
- Assists with special projects and other duties as needed
Required Qualifications:
- B.S. or equivalent in Accounting/Advanced degree in Accounting required (CPA or current CPA exam candidate strongly preferred)
- 2 years’ progressive accounting experience
- Experience in Big 4/National firm public accounting or a combination of public accounting and industry experience in a public company setting preferred
- Experience with corporate accounting, financial reporting and SEC filings preferred
- Experience with WDesk/Workiva platform and XBRL tagging preferred
- Self-starter with a high degree of initiative, attention to detail and a strong sense of personal accountability to meet professional commitments
- Ability to multi-task and be highly adaptable in a fast-paced, dynamic, deadline-oriented environment
- Team-oriented, mature and able to resolve conflict
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills and strong interpersonal skills are critical to success in the role
- Must demonstrate sound judgment and integrity beyond reproach in all situations
