What are the responsibilities and job description for the Sr Staff Accountant position at Solomon Page?
Our client, a well-established company is looking to hire a Sr. Staff Accountant to start right away ! This position will be located on site.
Responsibilities :
Prepare and analyze income statements, balance sheets, and other financial reports to ensure accuracy and completeness.
Perform bank and account reconciliations, identifying and resolving discrepancies in a timely manner.
Assist in month-end and year-end closing processes, including journal entries and accruals.
Ensure compliance with GAAP and company accounting policies.
Support Accounts Payable (A / P) functions, including invoice processing, payment approvals, and vendor reconciliations
Assist with audits and internal financial reviews by providing necessary documentation and analysis.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve financial processes and reporting.
Identify opportunities for process improvements and contribute to standardization initiatives. Required Qualifications :
Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related fields
2 years of experience
Accuracy and attention to detail
Verbal and written communication skills
Problem solving skills
Interpersonal skills / team player
