School Nurse

Solomon Schechter Day School of Bergen County is a warm and inclusive Jewish Day School serving children from Early Childhood through Eighth Grade. Our rigorous dual curriculum in General and Judaic studies fosters engaged, independent learners who embrace Jewish values, practices, and strive to better the world with confidence and compassion.

We are currently seeking a dynamic, compassionate, and collaborative health professional to join our team as a School Nurse with an 8/1/2025 start date.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide basic healthcare to students and staff in the event of injury or illness
• Administer daily and PRN medications as required
• Develop and implement health plans for students
• Conduct mandatory health screenings
• Maintain and update student vaccination records and other health documentation
• Ensure all students’ medical histories, as well as food and medical concerns, are accurately documented
• Work to maintain a safe and healthy school environment for students and staff
• Ensure compliance with all New Jersey state health regulations and requirements

Qualifications:

• Active New Jersey RN license
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Epi-pen training
• Strong oral and written communication skills
• Proficient in basic computer skills
• Warm, caring, and professional demeanor when interacting with children and parents
• Familiarity with Magnus Health a plus
• Available to work 7:45 am - 4:00 pm M-F
