Position Summary:
We are seeking a hands-on Accounting Manager to lead a team of four accounting professionals and oversee their daily activities. The ideal candidate is a strong analytical thinker with extensive corporate finance experience, capable of reviewing financial results, preparing reports, and effectively explaining performance to the company’s team under the TSA (Transition Services Agreement) framework. This role requires exceptional Excel skills and expertise in SAP ECC to ensure accurate financial reporting and analysis.
This is a Hybrid position – onsite 3 days a week in Wilmington, DE.
Essential Duties:
- Lead and manage a team of four accounting professionals, overseeing daily operations and workload distribution.
- Review, analyze, and explain financial results to internal stakeholders, ensuring clarity in reporting.
- Provide financial reporting to the team and effectively communicate results under the TSA structure.
- Act as a hands-on leader, assisting with complex accounting tasks and supporting team development.
- Ensure accuracy in financial reporting through detailed analysis and reconciliation processes.
- Drive process improvements to enhance efficiency and financial reporting accuracy.
- Utilize advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, macros, complex formulas) for in-depth financial analysis.
- Leverage SAP ECC to extract, analyze, and report financial data effectively.
- Collaborate with corporate finance teams to ensure compliance with reporting standards and company policies.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field – Required.
- 7 years of accounting experience with at least 2 years in a managerial or leadership role.
- Strong corporate finance background with experience in financial reporting and analysis.
- Exceptional Excel proficiency (advanced formulas, pivot tables, macros) – Required.
- Experience with SAP ECC or a similar ERP system – Required.

Salary Range: SolomonEdwards values your unique and individual experience and background. As such, we take a comprehensive approach when determining compensation for our roles. The compensation for this specific role is based on a wide range of factors, including but not limited to education, licensure and certifications, location, experience, and training. A reasonable estimate for the current hourly range for this role is $62 – 67.
