Position Summary:
Our client, a leader in developing and delivering vital innovations for various industries, including electronics, automotive, water, industrial, etc., is seeking a Senior Accountant—Corporate Accounting to join the controller’s accounting organization. This role is responsible for ensuring the integrity of financial statements, maintaining US GAAP compliance, performing account reconciliations, and supporting audits and financial reporting. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, a deep understanding of corporate accounting principles, and the ability to drive process improvements.
This Hybrid position requires 3 days onsite (flexible for which days) a week in Wilmington, DE, and is expected to last 6 – 8 months.
Essential Duties:
- Ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial statements for assigned legal entities.
- Define accounting procedures in compliance with local accounting policies.
- Perform account reconciliations and approve reconciliations completed by the team.
- Act as a key contact for external financial and statutory audits, ensuring timely completion.
- Coordinate the preparation of Income Statement Forecasts (ISF) to support tax and treasury functions.
- Provide financial accounting and internal control guidance to finance teams across the organization.
- Assist in the completion of regional year-end schedule packages for SEC reporting.
- Ensure compliance with SOX regulations and internal control self-assessments.
- Prepare quarterly reports on foreign debt as required by Central Bank regulations.
- Identify root causes of issues and implement practical solutions.
- Challenge the status quo to drive efficiency and reduce complexity.
- Maintain a strong customer/client focus to enhance work processes.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting – Required.
- 7 years of progressive accounting experience in a large corporate environment – Required.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel (advanced formulas, pivot tables, and macros) – Required.
- Experience with SAP or similar ERP systems.

Salary Range: SolomonEdwards values your unique and individual experience and background. As such, we take a comprehensive approach when determining compensation for our roles. The compensation for this specific role is based on a wide range of factors, including but not limited to education, licensure and certifications, location, experience, and training. A reasonable estimate for the current hourly range for this role is $60 – 65.
