QUALIFICATIONS :

High school diploma or equivalent is recommended.
Shall exhibit acceptable standards of emotional stability, moral character and sound health.
Shall have a good command of the English language (written, read, & spoken).
Shall have demonstrated aptitude or competence for assigned responsibilities.
Shall be physically able to perform necessary job responsibilities.
Shall have demonstrated success in performing tasks of the sort listed in job responsibilities.

CONTRACT WORK DAYS : 260 Days

RESPONSIBLE TO : Buildings & Grounds Supervisor

SUPERVISES : N / A

GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES :

To be responsible for the transportation and delivery of all inter-school district mail, supplies and equipment.

To have the ability to drive, load and unload a medium truck.

To have the ability to operate a forklift

To be responsible for any necessary clerical skills for handling system mail, record keeping, distribution and sorting.

SPECIFIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :

Fills and delivers orders made by the individual school units from the warehouse stock, keeping appropriate records.

Maintains the warehouse in such a manner that it is clean, neat and free from fire hazards.

Transports foodstuffs prepared foods from the central kitchen to the satellite cafeterias, including catering orders

Picks up, sorts and delivers inter-school mail.

Picks up and handles money deposits according to district money-handling procedures.

Performs other related tasks assigned by the supervisor of buildings and grounds or business manager.

Must have a clean driving record.

Forklift training will be provided.
