Qualifications
BS in Industrial or Mechanical Engineering required
5 years of production control experience in a small to medium, low volume / high mix R&D environment.
Proven experience in scheduling, managing inventory, shipping , and leadership.
Prior experience managing projects, organizing information, optimizing manufacturing processes, and reducing lead times.
Prior experience leading a small team.
Self-motivated, independent, and has the ability to determine next steps on their own.
ERP system experience (JobBoss a plus)
Responsibilities
Create and manage the schedule (MPS, MRP), revise shipment plans, re-prioritize jobs, and advise appropriate departments on potential late jobs.
Control and report on all areas of work order management (WOM) : creation, approval, assignment and closure.
Estimate product costing based on bill of materials and manufacturing routers, and analyze manufacturing variances.
Manage inventory levels, inventory transactions and supervision of the correct use of the ERP system.
Coordinate with Sales and Operations to develop production forecasts based on best practices of maximizing run rates, turn-around due to processes constraints, and other strategic initiatives to maximize production capacity.
Manage resolution of internal and external departmental issues, including logistics, personnel and prioritization conflicts.
Oversee and manage supply chain operations, such as logistics, reverse logistics, shipping and receiving, and export compliances.
Implement and control department policy objectives and department standard procedures and workflow methods.
Prepare timely, accurate, and informative reports to provide department managers with priorities, forecast and job status
