Company Info: My client is a rapidly growing clean energy consultancy focused on transforming New York’s energy landscape through innovative solar and energy storage solutions. Dedicated to advancing energy equity across commercial, industrial, and multifamily affordable housing projects, this organization anticipates 10X growth over the next three years and seeks a experienced operational leader to support and sustain this exciting expansion.

Location: New York, NY

Are you a strategic leader experienced in scaling renewable energy operations? Do you excel at building high-performing teams and implementing operational systems to support rapid growth? If so, this Chief Operating Officer role could be the ideal next step for your career:

You will be responsible for:

• Developing scalable operational frameworks and workflows to facilitate rapid company expansion.
• Initially overseeing project execution (6-12 months), including solar and energy storage project lifecycles, from site feasibility through construction and commissioning.
• Leading financial strategy, managing budgets, cost controls, and capital efficiency.
• Mentoring and expanding the current team from 5 to 8-10 members, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and accountability.

In order to be considered for this role you will have:

• At least 10 years of business experience with a minimum of 5 years in renewable energy project development, especially solar PV and battery storage.
• Proven track record scaling operations and managing solar projects, particularly within New York City.
• Strong financial management skills, including budget oversight, pro forma analysis, and familiarity with NYC regulations and incentives.

Preferred but not essential:

• Advanced degree (Engineering, Environmental Science, Business).

If you are successful, you will receive:

• Salary: $180,000 - $200,000
• Bonus: Performance-based bonuses
