The Pressure Relief Valve Technician - Trainee position will be introduced and trained in assessment, maintenance, testing and repair of industrial pressure relief valves and devices. Work may be performed within the company facility or at a client based location.
Duties include:
- Identify test, reset and repair basic spring-loaded industrial pressure relief (pop) valves.
- Assist in assembly, tagging, and sealing of pressure relief devices.
- Assist in disassembly and inspection of pressure relief devices.
- Introduction to ASME and NBIC Codes and Manuals.
- Introduction to test gauge calibration methods, procedures and testing components.
- Other training and duties as directed by supervisor.
Qualifications and Experience
- Must pass national background check, motor vehicle report and pre-employment physical/drug & alcohol screening.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Basic mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting
- Safety Oriented
