Job Description
The Sr. Materials Technician is a key role that oversees project testing, reporting results to project managers, laboratory managers, or clients. This position leads projects and works closely with upper management to complete all required testing.
Responsibilities
- Complete weekly timecards, expenses, and mileage reports for submission to the lab manager.
- Schedule project testing with project managers and clients at remote sites.
- Maintain proactive communication between project managers and clients.
- Utilize technical knowledge to serve clients and mitigate risk.
- Conduct project testing, verify accurate results, re-test samples when needed, and report findings.
- Ensure project testing reports are complete, accurate, and data is preserved on cloud storage.
- Adhere to company policies and procedures.
Requirements
Minimum Requirements
- High School Diploma.
- Experience in asphalt, soils, and concrete testing.
- Valid driver's license.
Preferred Requirements
- 1 year of experience in a supervisory role.
Skills
- Construction experience.
- Ability to read construction plans and specifications.
- Ensures high accuracy and attention to detail.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to organize and prioritize work effectively under deadlines.
- Proficient computer skills in Microsoft Office.
Certifications
- ACI Concrete Field-Testing Technician Certification (preferred).
