Description
This position is responsible for efficient operation of the front desk/lobby area, ensuring the security of the community and facilitating communications within and outside the community. Position greets all visitors to the community and ensures that all residents and guests sign in and out of the community, answers telephone calls and assist with clerical and other tasks as needed.
ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES:
- Answers all telephone calls in a timely manner and properly routes to the correct extension.
- Ensures the security of the front lobby, ensuring all guests to the community sign in/out.
- Provides information to callers and relay messages in a timely manner.
- Maintains the receptionist area in neat and tidy manner.
- Receives packages and ensures delivery to the appropriate person.
- Performs general administrative and/or clerical work.
- Performs other tasks as assigned.
Qualifications
- Experience working with seniors, preferably 2 years’ experiences as a receptionist/Concierge.
- High School Diploma and/or equivalent.
- Excellent phone etiquette and verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work with minimum supervision
- Professional attitude and appearance; must be punctual
- Pleasant, friendly, cheerful, energetic, and out-going demeanor
- Shows initiative, willingness to learn and grow
- Customer service oriented
- Must enjoy working with the elderly.
- Ability to work weekends and holidays
SKILLS:
- Strong creative thinking skills are required.
- Ability to work and communicate effectively with diverse group of people.
- Possess written and verbal skills for effective communication in English
- Maintain an atmosphere of warmth, personal interest and positive emphasis, as well as a calm environment.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office products
- Ability to demonstrate good judgment and discretion.
- Work as a team player with Team Members at all levels.
- Self-starter and positive personality.
- Ability to lift a minimum of 25 pounds to 75 pounds.
