Summary:

We’re seeking an innovative Formulation Chemist to develop and optimize lubricant products from concept to commercialization. You’ll collaborate with cross-functional teams, conduct extensive research and lab work, and ensure formulations meet performance, regulatory, and cost criteria.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and refine lubricant formulations for performance, stability, and cost-effectiveness.
• Conduct lab experiments, analyze results, and adjust formulations as needed.
• Collaborate with R&D, production, and quality teams to scale formulations for manufacturing.
• Ensure compliance with ASTM, ISO, and other industry standards.
• Maintain detailed records of experiments and support patent filings.
• Stay updated on industry trends through technical conferences (e.g., ASTM, STLE, NLGI).
• Provide technical guidance during manufacturing processes.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in chemistry or related field.
• 7 years of experience in lubricant formulation or R&D.
• Strong knowledge of chemical interactions, tribology, and processing techniques.
• Preferred experience with synthetic/bio-based lubricants and ASTM/ISO standards.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Physical Demands:

• Regularly stand, walk, and handle small tools.
• Occasionally lift up to 50 pounds.
• Work in a lab environment with PPE and exposure to chemicals.
