This is a unique opportunity for an experienced tax professional to develop and execute a tax strategy that integrates seamlessly with our comprehensive financial planning services. The successful candidate will work closely with advisors, manage tax planning initiatives, and help deliver best-in-class tax solutions to our clients.
Position Summary
The Director of Tax will be responsible for leading the firm’s tax strategy, providing advisory support to clients and advisors, and managing tax compliance processes. This individual will play a key role in business development, partnering with internal advisors to educate clients on tax-efficient strategies.
The ideal candidate is a licensed CPA with experience in tax planning, compliance, and advisory services, who thrives in a collaborative, client-focused environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and lead Soltis’ in-house tax function, ensuring seamless integration with our wealth management services.
- Collaborate with financial advisors to provide tax planning strategies and optimize client financial outcomes.
- Assist with tax return preparation and review to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Identify tax-saving opportunities for clients, including investment tax planning, retirement tax strategies, and estate tax considerations.
- Participate in business development efforts, presenting tax solutions to existing and prospective clients.
- Stay up to date on tax laws and regulations, proactively advising clients on relevant changes.
- Optimize tax processes and technology, improving efficiency in tax planning and reporting.
Qualifications
- Licensed CPA (Required)
- 7-10 years of CPA experience (Preferred)
- Strong understanding of individual, corporate, and investment-related tax matters
- Experience in tax advisory, planning, and compliance
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain complex tax strategies in a client-friendly manner
- Ability to work in a collaborative, high-performance environment
- Experience working with high-net-worth clients is a plus
