Job Title: Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) – Developmental Disabilities

Job Summary:
We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) to provide specialized nursing care for individuals with developmental disabilities. The LVN will work closely with interdisciplinary teams to support the health and well-being of clients, ensuring they receive quality medical care, assistance with daily activities, and advocacy for their unique needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct nursing care, including medication administration, wound care, and monitoring vital signs.
- Assist in the development and implementation of individualized care plans.
- Support individuals with activities of daily living (ADLs) and promote independence when possible.
- Monitor and document patient conditions, reporting changes to the healthcare team.
- Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and caregivers to ensure comprehensive care.
- Educate clients, families, and support staff on health-related matters and best practices.
- Ensure compliance with state and federal healthcare regulations and standards.
- Participate in training and continuous education to stay updated on best practices in developmental disability care.
Qualifications:
- Education: Completion of an accredited LVN program.
- Licensure: Active LVN license in the applicable state.
- Certifications: CPR and First Aid certification required. Additional certifications in developmental disability care are a plus.
- Skills: Strong communication, problem-solving, and patient care skills. Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in group homes, assisted living facilities, or community-based programs for individuals with developmental disabilities.
- Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) and care documentation systems.
- Ability to handle challenging behaviors with patience and professionalism.
Compensation:
Compensation is based on experience and qualifications. Benefits are available for full-time positions.
