The Endoscopy department at Elliot Hospital in Manchester, NH specializes in providing advanced endoscopic procedures using the latest technology. Patients are able to have testing and treatment options done quickly and conveniently with minimal discomfort. The team consists of skilled physicians, nurses, technicians and other health care professionals who strive to provide quality patient care while maintaining safety standards. The Endoscopy department at Elliot Hospital is committed to providing excellent care and comfort while ensuring the safety of its patients.
About the Job:
The Endoscopy Technician's responsibilities include preparing and maintaining the instruments, equipment, and sterile settings required for gastrointestinal operations at the medical facility.
What Youll Do:
- Performs sterile procedures on rooms and equipment, including scopes, both before and after procedures in accordance with instructions.
- Provides assistance to registered nurses and physicians while they are performing procedures, as required.
- Ensures that the appropriate equipment is functioning properly and carries out safety checks.
- Performs routine maintenance and/or emergency repairs on endoscopic equipment.
Who You Are:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Licensed Nursing Assistant with experience in an Endoscopy setting or Surgical Technician with experience in Endoscopy setting preferred.
- LNA License or Surgical Technologist certification required (or within 1 year of hire). BLS (Basic Life Support) certificate or completion preferred on hire or required within 30 days of hire and maintains. NH Medical Technologist
Registration required (unless other current NH state license is held).
