About the Job:
Responsible for the day-to-day leadership and management of the cyber security program. Supervises a team of cyber security engineers and analysts providing technical, compliance, client user, and applications security services. Takes actions to protect the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of data.
What Youll Do:
Manages team that enforces the defensive cyber security posture of the organization.
Leads and facilitates the effort to address identified cyber risks with corrective action plans to ensure compliance with HIPAA and HITECH, federal and state information protection, and other relevant regulations and security frameworks.
Sets deadlines, assigns responsibilities, monitors, and communicates progress of cyber security projects, and assists CISO in developing and executing the cyber security budget to align with organizational strategic goals.
Works closely with compliance, legal, privacy, human resources, and IT in the investigation of privacy and security incidents and other compliance/privacy related and risk reduction matters.
Develops and manages cyber security strategies to improve privacy, compliance, and auditing programs.
Oversees the remediation of cyber security deficiencies through the documentation of findings and validates closure to increase the organizations security maturity and reduce overall risk. Advises leadership concerning the overall status of findings and associated remediation plans.
Manages security awareness, training, and education program.
Increases operational efficiency by leveraging new technologies, including automation of security functions.
Who You Are:
Education: bachelors degree or equivalent in Computer Science or related field or a bachelors degree in a healthcare-related field. Masters degree in cyber security preferred.
Licensure/Certification: Certification in CHPS, HCISSP, CISSP or related security certification. Vendor required certification in good standing (or proficiency if vendor accepts) for applications/modules employee is assigned to support. If not currently certified (or proficient) employee will have 6 months from their DOH (Date of Hire) or DOT (Date of Transfer) into a position that requires certification (proficiency).
Experience: At least 4-7 years of experience in an information security and/or compliance role. Experience with Microsoft Office products required.
