About the Job :
Working directly with the HIM System Operations Supervisor, the HIM Operations Coordinator is responsible for assisting all HIM staff at Elliot Hospital, River’s Edge and the VNA HIS staff or with HIS staff at Southern NH Medical Center, West Campus and Home Health and Hospice (HHC) with day-to-day operations, including but not limited to, record retrieval, assembly, deficiency analysis, document imaging, birth registry, transcription, document storage, and release of information. The HIM Operations Coordinator holds a key role in the assignment of daily workflow and prompt resolution to backlogs; and will ensure patient confidentiality best practices are maintained.
What You’ll Do :
- Monitor and assign daily workload to the HIM Department staff to include record retrieval, assembly, deficiency analysis, document imaging, birth registry, transcription, storage, and release of information.
- Assist in new hire orienting, training, and coordinating ongoing education
- Monitor and assure completion of all SNHMC HIM work queues and assist with other work queues across the organization, when needed
- Monitor all ROI, analyzing and transcription workflow ensuring compliance with policies, procedures, regulations, and standards
