Position Overview
Responsible for working with the Enterprise Technology Quality Assurance Team on development projects of varying magnitude. Assists Quality Control and Quality Assurance personnel in the use of standard test methodology, development and execution of test scripts, defect reporting, and may perform testing collaboration tasks.

Essential Job Functions
- Utilizes Quality Assurance methodologies to support the delivery of quality products that meet client specifications with minimum defects, on-time, and on-budget. Participates in Requirements reviews (Business, Technical, Functional, and Design), evaluates and generates test cases, write test scripts and estimates target completion dates.
- Execute test scripts as documented in Test Plan. Prepare and/or locate test data to meet test case criteria. Meet script execution goals as outlined and directed by team lead. Update and maintain test scripts as necessary. May require collaboration with Automation Team Engineers to develop effective test strategies, scripts, and test plans.
- Identify, validate, and report defects and verify fixes and/or enhancements. May require direct communication with Development teams and assistance with defect troubleshooting. Participate in team or project meetings as directed by Team Lead. Report individual work progress, test status, or issues to Quality Control Team Lead.
- Assists with validating changes migrated to all test environment(s) appropriately, and/or new environment(s) connectivity, and confirm environment test readiness for various Quality Assurance test phases.
Additional Job Responsibilities
- Assists with post implementation validation or support testing with the Line of Business.
- Assist with the training for testers on all systems, applications, and tools used for Quality Assurance operations and project testing requirements.
- Remains up-to-date of credit union policies, procedures, products and practices. Access mandated training on SSFCU University and achieve a passing score on exams. May also require attendance in instructor led training sessions by SSFCU.
Education and Training
Bachelor's degree in Management Information Systems (MIS), Computer Science, or Business-related field or comparable education or comparable experience.
The ideal candidate will have:
- Requires minimum of 1-3 years experience in a large financial institution environment or comparable experience.
- Familiar with software development cycle and quality assurance principals and methodologies. Understanding of structured environments for development, test and production.
- Experience or training with one or more of the following tools: Advanced Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Visio and Microsoft Project or similar tools.
- Experience preferred with test management and testing tools such as HP ALM (Quality Center) or equivalent
- Ability to work under general supervision in a team environment, meet deadlines and take on responsibility and accountability.
