JOB SUMMARY:
Our Behavior Modification Specialists (BMS) provide behavioral intervention services for students with behavioral and mental health needs and their families. Services are provided face-to-face in the clinic and/or in the school setting. Services are designed to support the student learn important skills such as emotional regulation, problem solving, decision making, communication, conflict resolution, anger management, and other foundational independent living skills. This position is an important representative of the agency, and is responsible for maintaining positive relationships with community partners. It is an active ambassador for the agency in its mission to address unmet needs.

A qualified individual would have excellent “people” skills, be at least 21 years of age, and meet one of the following criteria:
- Master’s degree in psychology, social work, counseling, education, child development and family science, human services, or communication disorder
OR
- a bachelor’s degree in one of the above fields and two years of related work experience, in the respective discipline. The work experience must be in a professional setting and supervised by a licensed practitioner in a related field.
The BMS must also pass a criminal background check, possess a valid driver’s license and maintain current automobile insurance. They are required to complete a defensive driving course as part of new-hire orientation and become registered as a behavior technician (RBT).
