WHAT DOES THE JOB LOOK LIKE?
The Behavior Modification Specialist (BMS) practices under the clinical supervision of a Licensed Applied Behavior Analyst / BCBA as part of a team providing Mental Health Rehabilitation services. This is a position which requires solid behavioral intervention skills. The position provides culturally competent services in the office and in various community settings, including homes and schools. Services are provided to adults and children who are Medicaid recipients and who are at risk of entering a mental health or hospital facility. Services are designed to restore functioning and enhance psychiatric stability, social competencies, personal and emotional adjustment, and independent living and community skills. The position assists in the development of behavioral assessments and behavioral intervention, including the development and monitoring of intervention strategies as a means to improve client functioning.
WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
Solutions is seeking an individual who is a self-starter and who has solid behavior intervention skills. This individual must meet the state criteria for classification as a Behavior Modification Specialist, i.e., holding a bachelor's degree in a human service field, along with two years of supervised experience in the delivery of mental health services. We are looking for someone who can provide culturally competent services. The candidate must pass a criminal background check and have a valid driver's license.
