Support Advocate for Solutions Center Domestic Violence Shelter
- Staff the 24/7 shelter for people fleeing Domestic Violence. Manage the 24/7 crisis call line and law enforcement call line for Active Domestic Violence calls and be able complete necessary documentation.
- Advocating for client’s safety within shelter and crisis calls.
- Adhere to agency policies and work rules including client confidentiality and reporting. Maintain professional boundaries with all clients. Adhere to organization code of ethics.
- Provide appropriate and accurate information and referrals to community resources.
- Maintain a safe and clean environment in the shelter. This includes cleaning and basic housekeeping on your shift.
- Coordinating and communicating client and shelter needs across shifts by serving as liaison between clients and support advocates.
- Get rooms ready for new clients, sanitize and clean rooms after clients exit, stock, organize food, hygiene and other items as needed or directed.
- Consult with supervisor about client concerns, workload management, professional development, and other areas.
- Attending training and continuing education activities as assigned.
- Facilitate problem solving for shelter conflicts and crises. Encourage and model appropriate shelter interactions.
- Be able to muti-talk and handle emergency situations that come up.
- Be able to problem solve and make informed decisions based on the situation.
- Completing ongoing training requirements.
- Complete job duties as assigned.

This position is a part-time position every other weekend, Saturday & Sunday, 1st shift from 7:00am - 3:00pm.
Hired staff must pass a background check and drug screen.
