SolutionWorks is a national, growing company that provides numerous services to the automotive industry. We are growing and have a new position available at our corporate offices in Flower Mound, TX. Our Accounting Assistant will support the Accounting/Finance Department with various accounting tasks, ensuring accurate financial records, and contribute to the overall efficiency of our operations. This position requires high attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.

Duties and responsibilities:
Financial Reporting:
- Prepare and reconcile bank statements and general ledger accounts.
- Prepare financial reports and summaries as required.
- Month-End and Year-End Closing:
- Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes.
- Perform additional tasks and projects assigned by the Controller.
Compliance and Auditing:
- Support audits by providing necessary documentation and information.
- Maintain and update financial records and databases.
General Accounting:
- Process invoices, expense reports, and payment transactions.
- Communicate with vendors and clients regarding billing inquiries; perform reconciliations as necessary.
Team Collaboration:
- Supports all members of the Finance Team in day-to-day operations.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure accurate financial data and reporting.
Qualifications:
Education: Associate’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field (bachelor’s degree preferred).
Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience as an Accounting Assistant or in a similar role.
Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Suite especially Word and Excel; experience with accounting software preferred.
Analytical Skills: High attention to detail and accuracy in data entry.
Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to always maintain confidentiality.
Organizational Skills: Team player, tenaciously collaborate with other departments, and ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
Working conditions:
Work Environment: Office-based with possibility of hybrid setting after onboarding/completion of training period.
Work Hours: Standard business hours, with potential for overtime during peak periods.
Physical requirements:
Ability to work extended hours, workdays, and limited breaks when needed.
