Job Description:

The Home Health Office Assistant provides administrative support to ensure the smooth operation of our home health agency. You will be responsible for handling office tasks, communicating with clients and caregivers, and assisting with scheduling and documentation. This position is perfect for someone who is detail-oriented, compassionate, and thrives in a fast-paced healthcare environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Maintain and organize caregiver and client records, both physical and digital
  • Assist with scheduling caregiver shifts and coordinating with clients on their care needs
  • Monitor and track caregiver attendance, call-ins, and shift coverage
  • Input data into the agency's software systems for timekeeping, client records, and billing
  • Prepare reports, maintain logs, and ensure compliance with home health regulations
  • Provide support in planning in-home assessments and communicating with case managers or referral sources
  • Perform quality assurance checks on documentation and report discrepancies to management
  • Communicate effectively with caregivers, clients, family members, and other healthcare professionals
  • Support HR or administrative functions such as caregiver follow-ups, file audits, or data entry
  • Provide exceptional customer service to clients, caregivers, families, and healthcare professionals

Qualifications:

  • Prior experience in a home health or healthcare office setting preferred
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, and general computer use
  • Ability to multitask and manage time effectively
  • Compassionate, reliable, and a team player
  • Knowledge of home care operations or medical terminology is a plus
