Human Resources Intern

SOLV Energy is an engineering, procurement, construction (EPC) and solar services provider for utility solar, high voltage substation and energy storage markets across North America.

Job Description Summary:

Under general supervision, the Human Resources Intern will perform basic office/clerical work in support of the People Operations Team. This position is designed to provide practical experience for current students working towards a degree/career in Human Resources.

Summer 2025 Internship. Position will be onsite full time in San Diego, CA.

Position Responsibilities and Duties:

• Learn the fundamentals of HR, TA, HRIS and Benefits

• Work closely with HR Administrator to improve/streamline HR processes.

• Assists with a variety of Human Resources tasks and projects

• Prioritize responsibilities to meet deadlines with successful completion of work.

• Learn about the full lifecycle recruiting process (screening resumes, phone interviews, scheduling and confirming interviews)

• Assist with data entry for benefits, leave of absences and employee relations

• Shadow multiple department positions and train in a variety of tasks within the department to learn and understand how the function is important to the organization's overall business.

• Work closely with assigned department on various tasks, attend department meetings, manage small projects, and learn about how the department functions within the organization

Minimum Skills or Experience Requirements:

• Currently pursuing a Bachelors’ degree in Human Resources, Communications or Management with a graduation date between May 2024 - May 2026

• A team player with a professional demeanor with sound judgment and the ability to handle confidential matters and sensitive information

• Excellent problem-solving skills

• Highly organized with the ability to prioritize work schedule and transition between projects and tasks seamlessly to meet deadlines and business needs

• Proficient computer skills with experience in MS Office Applications including Outlook, Excel, Word and Teams

• Effective communication skills
