Activities Assistant/ Van Driver

Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Activities Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing safe and reliable transportation for our Independent community to various appointments, events, and activities. This role is crucial in ensuring that our clients maintain their independence and access essential services while receiving the support they need. This role requires someone who can be flexible in their hours and the duties they will preform on any given day. This position requrires someone who can drive a 15 passanger van (does not require a commercial liscense) and has a clean Motor Vehicle Record.

Responsibilities

• Safely transport clients to and from scheduled appointments, events, and activities.
• Assist clients with boarding and disembarking the vehicle, ensuring their comfort and safety.
• Maintain a clean and well-organized vehicle, conducting regular inspections to ensure safety standards are met.
• Collaborate with staff to coordinate transportation schedules effectively.
• Provide companionship and support during transport, addressing any concerns or needs of the clients.
• Occasionally assist with or run sceduled activities.

Skills

• Experience in long-term care settings such as nursing homes or memory care facilities is preferred.
• Excellent schedule management skills to efficiently coordinate transportation logistics.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $16.00 - $16.50 per hour
