Mortgage Loan Processor
Our Mortgage Loan Processors obtain, verify, and input information for mortgage loan files to ensure accuracy and completion of all loan documentation necessary for loan closing. Responsibilities include preparing loan packages for underwriting and approved loans for closing, obtaining credit reports, abstracts, appraisals and surveys, ensuring loan data entered is accurate and customer communication. This position also works to close and fund loans as well as prepare and distribute loan proceeds.
The ideal candidate will have a two year college degree, the ability to deal effectively with various people and situations and the ability to adhere to Federal, State and local laws and regulation. Lending experience and knowledge of general real estate practices preferred.

POSITION TITLE: DEPARTMENT: REPORTS TO:
Mortgage Loan Processor Residential Lending VP, Residential Lending Manager
SUMMARY:
Obtains, verifies, and inputs application information for mortgage loan files to ensure accuracy and completion of all loan documentation necessary for loan closings. Prepares loan packages for underwriting and approved loans for closing.
OVERALL RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Reviews residential loan application file to verify that application data is complete and meets established secondary standards including type and amount of mortgage, borrower assets, liabilities, and length of employment.
- Obtains credit reports and employment documentation to verify accuracy of information provided by customer.
- Obtains property abstract, survey, and appraisal.
- Ensures loan data entered into Loan Origination System is accurate and correct.
- Submits mortgage loan application file for underwriting decision.
- Assists in scheduling loan closings and answers routine questions regarding the mortgage loan process.
- Submits approved mortgage loan file to third party attorneys or loan officers for settlement.
- May prepare checks for the distribution of loan proceeds.
- Closing loans, requires updating data entered in the Loan Origination System, preparing documents and data to uploaded to the Host Servicing Platform
- Funding Loans, requires data completion on the servicing Platform and balancing and reconciling loan proceeds to a Settlement Statement.
- Performs other tasks as requested by manager as they relate to the bank and its functions
- Adheres to Federal, State and local laws and regulations and to bank policies and procedures.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
- 2-year college degree.
- Lending experience preferred.
- Thorough knowledge of general real estate practices.
- Ability to deal effectively with various people and situations.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to be flexible.
