About The Role

• Our Maintenance department, composed of over 50 people, is focused on delivering safety and reliability, and regulatory compliance for our manufacturing site.
• As a Maintenance B Mechanical Technician, you will provide preventative and repair maintenance support to the surface soda ash, diversified/specialty products and all other surface facilities, ensuring safe and continuous operation. You will get the opportunity to contribute to the growing Soda Ash family and have a positive impact on transformation journey of Solvay.

• You will be accountable for:
• Analyze mechanical and/or operational problems with assigned surface facilities equipment.
• Participate and assist in cleanup and maintenance job functions.
• Assist and train others in maintenance tasks.
• Other duties as assigned.
• We offer a permanent contract based on onsite working mode.
  
  

About You

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED). 2 years associates degree in Industrial Maintenance is preferred.
• 5 years of applicable industrial experience required for grade B classification.
• Satisfactory completion of B classification; ARC weld in all positions with mild steel, stainless steel, cast iron and able to pass a flat welding test, gas weld with mild steel and brass.
• Competencies:
• Actively participate in safety, crew, department, and company meetings.
• Must be willing to work shift work and overtime.
• Must be able to read and write for the purpose of understanding operator log books, work orders, shop drawings, equipment specifications and directions.

About The Pay And Benefits

• Attractive and equitable pay for all: compensation is determined within a range to foster your development in the role. While the USA base pay reasonably expected for this role is $47.00/hr to $47.73/hr, your salary may ultimately be higher or lower based on your skills and experience. Additionally, we provide a competitive total rewards package that includes a bonus and/or other incentives.
