POSITION DESCRIPTION: The Continuous Improvement Process Specialist will be focused on documenting processes and creating standard work while helping to identify opportunities to improve efficiency and productivity. This position will be working with operations leadership to review, improve and document all inventory processes and movement through the distribution center. This position will lead with Lean Six Sigma/Manufacturing principles while participating in continuous improvement activities (such as Kaizen) and visual management efficiency. The ideal candidate will have strong communication and multi-tasking skills to collaborate with various departments to ensure consistency around all continuous improvement related messaging, and initiatives.
Responsibilities

Responsibilities
- Support, promote and maintain the continuous improvement program by participating in Kaizen events and other continuous improvement efforts and related projects, paperwork and activities
- Document, create and maintain standard work for processes
- Work in accordance to ensure a safe work environment by maintaining compliance with company policies concerning health and safety, and maintain a site-wide 6S program
- Monitor continuous improvement process efficiency and report discrepancies to management accordingly
- Assist with ad hoc project related work across the distribution center
- High School Diploma, or equivalent
- 2 years of overall warehouse/distribution center or manufacturing experience
- Proficient with Microsoft Suite, specifically Excel, PowerPoint and Visio
- Experience having worked in a high-volume, fast-paced production and distribution environment
- Continuous improvement experience; knowledge of Lean manufacturing
- Experience working with an ERP (preferably Epicor)
- Experience working in the bearings and power transmission industry
