Key Responsibilities :
The HVAC Engineer has a variety of responsibilities including :
- Heating, ventilating, and air conditioning design for industrial and chemical plants and related office facilities
- Heating and cooling load calculations. Reviewing and applying recent applicable codes and standards (i.e., Mechanical, Fire, ASHRAE, NFPA, etc.)
- Engineering of dust and fume collection systems
- Plumbing system layout and sizing
- Fire protection design specification
- Oversees the production of HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection drawings
- Interfaces with other engineering disciplines and clients
- Performs field work by obtaining information, making field sketches, and verifying drawings
