Solventum is seeking Barrier Coating Production Specialist candidates to join our team in Columbia MO!

• Shift Options: 1st Shift (Mon-Thurs or Fri-Mon, 10-hour shift, 5:30am-3:30pm)
• Starting Pay: $29.20/hour

The Impact You’ll Make in this Role

As a Barrier Coating Production Specialist, you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative and diverse people around the world. Here, you will make an impact by:

• Performing preventative maintenance, repairs, and adjustments on barrier coating equipment as well as assisting with the scheduling and coordination of preventative maintenance tasks.
• Conducting advanced troubleshooting of the various Barrier coating processes.
• Supporting Continuous Improvement for Safety, Quality, Service, Cost, and Engagement.
• Assisting with testing or other nonstandard production tasks while identifying and implementing improvement opportunities with high attention to detail
• Meeting all necessary safety requirements, including but not limited to LOTO, PPE, and confined space.
• Performing Team Leader tasks on a backup/as needed basis
• Possessing the ability to clearly speak, understand, and write in English to communicate effectively in both verbal and written contexts.

Your Skills and Expertise

To set you up for success in this role from day one, Solventum requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:

• Possess a High School Diploma/GED or higher (completed prior to start)
• 2 years of experience working as a Coater Technician
• Ability to work one or more of the following shifts:
  • Monday – Thursday; 5:30am – 3:30pm
  • Friday – Monday; 5:30am – 3:30pm
    
• Ability to work overtime, weekends, or holidays as needed

Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:

• Prior experience working as a Coater Technician in the Barrier department
• Strong mechanical aptitude, troubleshooting skills, organizational skills, attention to detail, leadership skills and interpersonal skills
• Willingness to coach and teach others
• Good ability to collect and analyze data to make informed decisions
