As a CER Resource Manager for clinical analyst team, you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative and diverse people around the world. We are an international leader in designing and maintaining healthcare payment systems. We support the United States and numerous countries on how they budget and pay for inpatient and outpatient facility care. This role would appeal to persons interested in playing a vital role in the equitable financing of healthcare globally and driving efficiency and value across the healthcare delivery system. Being part of a team that has more than 40 years of experience developing classification, grouping and reimbursement calculation systems globally for inpatient, outpatient,professional and longitudinal settings spanning payment, management, patient safety and quality use cases. Here, you will make an impact by:

• Lead high-performing team of health care research clinical analyst performing the research of new and enhancements of Clinical and Economic Research inpatient classifications systems including All Patient Refined DRGs, MS-DRG, TriCare-DRGs, and Internationally Refined-DRG.

• Work with clinical analyst team to establish project/resource priorities and assist staff in making priority decisions on daily workloads; provide problem identification, research, design, evaluate, develop, test and support clinical and economic information management software products and projects to meet changing health care needs. Design, plan and generate generic tools to aid in research development, data processing and reporting. Monitor progress of all assigned projects;

• Provide guidance to staff to ensure that projects are high quality and on schedule;

• Work with teams of clinicians and analyst providing support and performing ad hoc analysis on data and payment policy/quality/throughput/performance issues;

Your Skills and Expertise

To set you up for success in this role from day one, Solventum requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree or higher from an accredited university and 5 years of experience in the health industry

OR

• High School Diploma/GED or higher from an accredited institution and a minimum of 9 years of experience in the health industry in lieu of the bachelor’s degree education requirement

AND

In addition to the above requirements, the following are also required:

• Coding, and/or HIM credentials: AHIMA OR AAPC Coding Certification (e.g. RHIA, RHIT, CCS, CCS-P, CPC, CPC-I, CPC-H)

• 5 years healthcare industry working with any of the following: inpatient analysis and payment, inpatient and/or outpatient coding experience, and quality outcome measures

• Proven experience in directly managing a team

Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:

• Master's degree in healthcare related field in clinical informatics, MBA or MPH

• Background in healthcare payer or provider clinical or quality operations (preferable inpatient hospital)

• Experience working with health care data, health care data elements, coding systems including ICD-10-CM/PCS, CPT/HCPCS coding and mapping

• Strong project management skills with an attention to details

• Strong knowledge on inpatient payment policy and coding systems both within the US and Internationally.

• Experience of working with and/or within governments, regulators, health systems, health plans, State Medicaid programs, Commercial payers, value-based care arrangements, Medicaid MCOs and international.

• Experience with DRG patient classification systems, risk adjustment and quality outcome measure definitions.

• Knowledge and understanding of CMS inpatient payment policies and procedures pertaining to measurement of payment and risk adjustment for health care quality

• Experience and skill sets to manage team performing independent research using large claims databases for data evaluation and analysis.

• Proficient in MS Excel, MS Word, and MS Power Point.

Applicable to US Applicants Only:The expected compensation range for this position is $160,284 - $195,903, which includes base pay plus variable incentive pay, if eligible. This range represents a good faith estimate for this position. The specific compensation offered to a candidate may vary based on factors including, but not limited to, the candidate’s relevant knowledge, training, skills, work location, and/or experience.
